What happened to the Pink, White, and Green?

Newfoundland Tricolour (Pink, White, and Green)The flag and flag post that usually overlook the city of St. John’s from South Side Hills is no longer in sight. Does anyone know what could have happened?

    I saw the flag last on Friday, June 26th while hiking from Quidi Vidi to the Queen’s Battery. I remember it because I was hiking with my niece who was visiting from California and I was admiring the flag and wondering if it was bigger than last year’s flag. What do you mean it is gone?

    Hey Greg, are there any updates on the missing flag? Is there any interest in replacing it? I know it’s not cheap but I’d be willing to throw a few bucks and some time towards getting another one up there. The base is bent pretty badly and new bolts would be needed but that stuff should be able to be done on site. I tried contacting the Independent but my email bounced back. Anyway, have a good weekend.
